About E-Wave
E-Wave GmbH is a think-tank founded in 2019 with a focus on consulting, venture building and investment with an emphasis on sustainable development in the Global South, with a current focus on Africa.
The E-Wave partners (shareholders) and project partners are active or former senior managers from industry and international development cooperation.
They have many years of experience in Africa business and are networked with key players, institutions and regulators.
E-Wave advises companies, start-ups, associations, civil society organizations and international institutions and develops creative business models. For their implementation, E-Wave participates in start-ups of companies in Africa.

We focus on experience and sustainably successful solutions. Our E-Wave shareholders (partners) are among the off-grid pioneers – especially in East Africa. For example, E-Wave partners founded the first off-grid solar stations there as early as 2008, which are still operating profitably today. They were the first to use electric motors for fishing operations on Lake Victoria back in 2017. Our partners also include Wolfgang Gregor, who co-founded the Global Off-Grid Association GOGLA on behalf of the World Bank and served as its first Executive Director.”
